How horrible am I? I never did my own sons 2 year pics! So I quickly took him to do some yesterday. Even I have to use a lot of candy to get my child to stand still and smile for me. He is now in a "no mommy" phase when he sees the camera! I have decided that so far 2 1/2 is my favorite age! I just love this kid to death!

I've never done this type of shoot before, but the idea is brilliant! You know how you are crazy running around on your child's birthday and then the day after you look back and you took 3 pictures and none of them are great! I was invited to come take pictures of this adorable 2 year olds birthday so that the family could relax and really soak in the day together! It was fun to be able to be apart of this, plus I got to take home some pretty amazing tasting cupcakes! I found my 2 year old self super jealous of her awesome presents! She is one lucky lady!

I love these two. They actually did this for their one year anniversary. They weren't a fan of their wedding pictures the first time around, hopefully I did them good the second time! Two things I am jealous of

All moved into our place in Kentucky, well almost all moved in. Trying to find places for things, decorating on a budget...you know...those sorts of things!

I have tons of pictures coming your way.

Christmas is coming soon, ok well it's four months away, but Fall is the best time to get your pictures done for your Christmas cards! Plus doesn't it feel so good to be on the ball once in awhile. I admit, I'm at fault for this, sending our cards after the Holidays because I ran out of time, or the holidays came too fast!

I will be announcing Holiday Specials in the next few weeks!!! Hopefully everyone can take full advantage of these! Let your friends know too!

I promise, this week, I'm going to get back on the blog wagon. It's been tough trying to share a computer with my husband (he isn't a good sharer...of course though, he is the one in school!) My dear friend Megan was just diagnosed with Lukemia, the same day she had her first baby. Right after she had her baby girl they took her to a cancer treatment to start treatments right away! Her husband is in school and the costs are going to be very expensive for all her treatments. This is Dylan. I knew I would like him the moment he walked in. With his rockstar hair (his mom is a hairdresser), his vans, skinny jeans and volcom top. I hope one day I have a son who looks as cool as he is! He was fun to photograph and so easy going about the whole thing!

I took a class from Sarah Goodman (AMAZING PHOTOGRAPHER) she really helped me to understand my camera. I remember reading an interview go4pro did on Matt Clayton (another AMAZING photographer in utah). He talked about how he rarely edits pictures because a great photographer shouldn't have to do much to their pics and how they should be able to know the camera. Well it finally clicked with Dylan. I didn't have to edit any of the pictures. What you see is "SOOC" straight out of camera!

I live in the Desert, but three minutes down the road I have farms, corn fields, grass...how does this happen in Arizona? Weird to me. Guess that is what makes this place so unique! The other after running errands with my son I thought we should do something fun, so we randomly just pulled over to a ranch so B could see the animals. They were pretty interested in him. The horse was the most curious!

i love that if you look closely you can see my reflection in the horses eye. I love horses. I hope one day I can own a few, they are such a gorgeous animal!

These are the days I'm grateful to live in Arizona. It's the perfect spring weather with blue skies, gorgeous flowers and a nice temp outside. Makes me grateful for the things that I have in my life and where I am in life. The Mesa temple has such pretty grounds!

Who doesn't love a good giveaway? Anytime I see that word, I'm all over doing everything they ask for. So far I have just won a t-shirt for my little guy. But hey, that is still something that I didn't have to buy! So who really doesn't love that?!

Don't you just want to give him whatever he wants when you see his chocolate eyes and UBER long eyelashes!!! I do. This little boy made me melt and has the cutest smile ever! He was such a great little client and did so well. I could just photograph him all day!

Tavernier Family {rancho cucumonga, california family}

Chelsie is getting ready to go on a mission to Washington, D.C. spanish speaking in a few weeks so I was asked to come and take some pictures of their family before she leaves, plus Chase will be putting in his papers in a few months and will be leaving also, so this was the last time they would all be together for about 3 years or so. What a cute family huh? I just love their energy and how much they love each other, it's really shows how close they all are!

I think these kids are completely adorable. I might be biased because I am good friends with the family, but seriously they are so cute and they were so much fun to take pics of. Maybe it's their pretty eyes or their perfect skin or their cute little smiles!

you know those weekends you revel in. the ones that are just perfect that you wish would last forever? that was this past weekend, luckily I had lots of time to practice my natural lighting and play around with a new lense! I'm glad my child is ok with me taking tons of pictures of him!

Took a class last night from this photographer. The first of many I am signed up for! I learned a ton, practiced a ton and am so excited to use what I learned on my clients this weekend! Who doesn't love to learn new things!

I know, I know. Life has been busy due to the fact that my little boy has many new teeth coming in, we have been traveling a lot and life is just busy! Starting next week (March 14th) I will be starting to charge for photos.

A typical session fee is $30
1-2 locations of your choice
Up to 4 people, each additional person will be $5
High Resolution CD with 15-30 pictures

Since I love referals, I will give you a discount if you are able to refer someone to me!

They are the cutest couple. They really are in love and it shows. Kayla just seems to glow around Greg. It was fun doing pictures for them. Of course for Greg we had to include a couple funny pictures to keep him happy!!

Sometimes my husband gets annoyed. This kid can do anything and everything naughty and all I do is laugh and smile. The instant my husband leaves the cubboards open or doesn't pick up his clothes I give him a hard time. Look at this face and this cheesy grin, can you really blame a mother. I was reading a few friends blogs who commented about this whole thing with mothers and sons. I get it. He will never do wrong in my eyes, I'm sure my daughters will one day if I have any. There is something about a little boy who loves you 100x over that you just can't resist!
